Hi I’m Wendy
I have been a kindergarten teacher and director at an independent school in Victoria, Australia for the last 12 years.
Prior to that I have taught in community Kinders, council kinders, Universities, as a play therapist and ran a little bike riding business with my friend Kathy.
I have a husband Rob who is joining me for the first few weeks of my adventures. Two adult sons Kai and Kobi and a 3 legged rescue chihuahua Douggie who sadlly stayed at home.
I used to be fit and healthy enjoying running, riding, adventure racing and low key triathlon until about 8 years ago when I had a SCAD heart attack which caused a cardiac arrest. This really shattered my confidence in all aspects of my life. Last year I had a more mild heart attack which whilst worrisome, hasn’t affected me as badly.
Leaving my secure job, lovely renovators delight home in Richmond, friends and family to explore the outback and work in Fitzroy Crossing WA (6 day drive) is the bravest thing I have done in a while and I’m so excited …and scared. My friend Bern said excitement and fear feel the same in your body.
I am drawn to thr Kimberley region as that is where my mum and dad met and I have heard lots of stories but haven’t been myself. (6 day drive) and I am hardly ever away from my husband Rob 😩
Please join me and keep me company
