Tennant creek to Mataranka

Interesting things I saw today: Brahman cows happily grazing by the roadside (no fences); peacocks at the servo and outdoor bar; a couple of outback dunnys; a beautiful dog running down the highway that reminded me of the red dog movie…but it was black. Rob said I couldn’t have it and it was probably happy; a roadhouse jack Russell riding on the bonnet of a Ute with no windscreen, apparently they all look after him but he is owned by no one.

A big road train, some have 4 trailers

A classy outback drop toilet for those new to the Aussie outback

Daly Waters. Dog on the Ute and plane with an amazing story!! Me with my mouth full of a chiko roll. Only fried food was available 😞 but actually quite yum 😀 hate to think what’s in it

Larrimah for those who have seen the Netflix docu series and beautiful road side flowers and cow

Mataranka and Bitter Springs. Lovely 34 degrees. Pub with a singer and a 🦚 at the camp ground.

    1. We are trying to stop where we can but also don’t want to drive in the dark when animals are active.
