First days living in Fitzroy Crossing via Derby

On Sunday we did our last big drive for a while. We stopped in to Derby for a quick visit to see where my mum and dad got married. We went out to the long jetty, the tide was out so the water looked very brown. It has one of the largest tides in the world, they are 12 meters high. We saw some lovely sculptures out on the tidal flats. Being Sunday everything was closed except a lovely little cafe and art gallery called Norval gallery. If you ever up this way check it out.

I started my new job yesterday which had my head swimming with information. Rob is loving being the ‘house husband’ for a few days. He is exploring everywhere on my bike and swimming in the river. I even got home to dinner on the table.

My walk to work today. 2 Brolgas, my house, a random bone.

Rob out exploring. Unfortunately most things are still closed after the wet season. Still beautiful though.

looks so nice and warm and I love the trees around your home. Hope Rob is safe swimming in the river, what about the crocs 🐊? Tidal flats look very dry.
